Project Details

Description

Nurses work in stressful environments, leading to psychological pressure, health problems, and dropout. Higher education prepares aspiring professionals to be capable of addressing current and complex challenges, but appears insufficiently future-proof. This research aims to gain insights into how higher education can promote the antifragility (actively embracing and exploiting difficulties) of aspiring professionals, such as nursing students, to be able to stay healthy doing their job. Educational building blocks to enhance antifragility are co-created with nurses, nursing students, and educational professionals, implemented and evaluated within higher education nursing programs. Finally, design principles for higher education are formulated interdisciplinary.
