Abstract
Echinothrips americanus is een opkomende plaag in de sierteelt. De huidige middelen Vertimec en Conserve zijn effectief, maar niet integreerbaar met biologische bestrijding. Dit jaar vindt onderzoek plaats naar alternatieven. De rooftrips Franklinothrips vespiformis en de roofwants Orius laevigatus kwamen bij eerder onderzoek als positief naar voren en worden nu in een proef bij drie siertelers getest. Ook het product Botanigard wordt nader onderzocht.
