Weet wat je eet! Onderzoek naar pcb’s, dioxines, PFAS en metalen in uitheemse Amerikaanse rivierkreeften uit Nederlandse wateren

This report concerns an exploration of the levels of contaminants in crayfish from various locations in the Netherlands. Samples of the red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkii), White river crayfish (Procambarus acutus), spiny cheecked crayfish (Faxonius limosus), viril crayfish (Faxonius virilis) and the Californian crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) were collected and analysed for heavy metals, dioxins, PCBs and PFAS. To interpret the obtained values, they were compared, where possible, with the applicable maximum levels and the tolerable weekly intake.
