Abstract

The Wageningen Common Data Solutions programme ran from June 2023 to December 2025 and was funded by LVVN and coordinated by the Wageningen Data Competence Center. The programme strengthened FAIR data practices across Wageningen Research by combining fifteen Practical Use Cases with eight Supportive Work Packages to develop, implement and embed shared data infrastructure in operational research environments. Key outcomes of the programme include improved data findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability; the development of structured and partly automated data workflows; and the integration of central platforms such as iRODS and Yoda with institute-specific systems. In addition, governance alignment, training initiatives, and community-building activities have enhanced long-term sustainability.
