Abstract

The feeding system consists of the feeding strategy and the feeding method. The systems are through means of a desk study collected. By using an inquiry with dairy farmers an inventory was done of the most used feeding systems en de reason for using. The mixture wagon is the most used system and in the near future that will increase. Labour is a large cost factor en feeding take a lot of labour. Systems using a mixture wagon take the most time and putting the blocks of feed in front of the feeding fence takes the least time. Feeding by the contractor can be cheaper but is not done much.
