    Abstract

This report presents the motives and factors determining the chosen location of relocating Westland growers. The most important motive for relocating is business development. New locations at great distances from the current location are generally dismissed for social reasons. Within the remaining search area, the choice of location is determined by the plot, the production conditions, the municipality and the cluster. Relocating growers need support from government bodies. They would also welcome a clear, transparent attitude from municipalities in particular with regard to the establishment of greenhouse horticultural enterprises there.
