Abstract
What are the coherent tasks for making the rural area of Overijssel more sustainable, towards 2050? This question was answered by analyzing the provincial policy goals for agriculture, nature, water, climate and energy. The analysis showed the province of Overijssel has made progress in achieving these goals, together with her regional partners. Nevertheless, five major coherent tasks remain, which ask for innovations in the current systems for agriculture and food, climate & energy and nature & biodiversity, in order to be able to realize the provincial ambitions
