Abstract

In phase 1 of the study into critical success factors for low antibiotic use in broilers (KSF1), a number of farm and management factors with a significant association with antibiotic use emerged. For two of the factors, keeping roosters and hens of breedersand thinning, there was a need to gain more insight into the nature of the found associations. To this end, ordered by the Ministry of Agriculture and the broiler sector (AVINED) an in-depth statistical analysis of both factors was carried out.
