Abstract
A short edumentary overview of my NWO Veni project that was made in August 2021. There has been some slight changes in focus since then but the overall focus of the project remains -i.e. to explore the various ways in which tourism practices and performances transforms and narratives slavery heritage in Ghana, Suriname and the Netherlands; and to show how this generates the embodied absence of the past that leads to societal dialogue (and change) about the past, identity and belonging.
