Abstract

In response to growing demands for clean water and the abundance of seawater, desalination has emerged as a logical choice for production of drinking and process water. However, the by-product of desalination, brine, poses a significant challenge. This is due to restrictions in the disposal of brines and high costs associated with conventional concentration methods like evaporation.
