Abstract

Watervision Agriculture (in Dutch: Waterwijzer Landbouw) is used to quantify the effects of hydrology and climate on agricultural crop production. To assess the extent to which the instrument is adequate, validation is required. Some of the results are described in this report. The crop development simulated by Watervision Agricultural was compared with local observations obtained from experimental farms and on a regional and national level with satellite images of the vegetation index. Also a comparison with the so called HELP-tabel was made.
