The findings of this study underscore the complexity of Thailand’s dairy sector within the broader Asian market. While rising milk consumption in Asia presents opportunities for increased exports, domestic demand remains a key area for potential growth. If local consumption accelerates at a projected rate of 10% annually, it could become the primary driver of demand. However, challenges such as production efficiency, market competitiveness, and smallholder participation must be addressed. Strengthening research and development, improving animal health, and optimizing farm structures will be crucial. Additionally, government support, trade policies, and sustainable feed practices will play a pivotal role in ensuring the sector's long-term viability and competitiveness.
