    Abstract

The dynamic simulation model TRANSOL has been developed to fulfil the need for a tool to analyse leaching of solutes from the soil surface to groundwater and surface waters. A description is given of the modelled processes: conversion, formation, cropuptake, precipitation, equilibrium and non-equilibrium sorption. The model is evaluated with a test on measured field data, an uncertainty analysis and a verification on an analytical solution.
