Abstract

This chapter reviews environmental indicators used so far in the policy field of pesticide impacts. It is argued that risk aspects and the quantity of pesticides should both play a role in the identification of indicators. A principal component analysis is applied to derive a weighted indicator from several independent basic indicators.
