Abstract

There is an increasing awareness of the major influence that land-atmosphere interactions (L-AI) have on weather and climate at local and regional scales. Scientists’ understanding of the physical processes governing the interactions between atmospheric dynamics and land surface processes is still limited, which hampers improvement in model parameterizations.
