    Abstract

During the last decades a lot of knowledge has become available on the subject of crop rotation. Nowadays it is topical because of the changes in the ratios of prices for production means and for products. Thus the most intensive rotations are legally and technically possible, but probably not the most cost-effective. The understood influence on the development or suppression of diseases and pests will help to reduce the use of pesticides
