    Abstract

    This fact sheet provides a summary of a literature review and scoping research to explore drivers of the protein transition in urban South Africa, with a focus on factors which enable and constrain the consumption of meat substitute products. Key findings are mapped onto the food system, and critical research gaps are presented.
