N2 - This study showed that neither CAP support from the EU nor Covid-19 support from national governments to producers of frozen potato products (FPP) in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands resulted in competitive advantages compared to FPP-producers outside the EU. Extra-EU export prices were found to be lower than intra-EU export prices, but this was due to market type (free versus contracts), product portfolio and market share.
