The system is for removal of parts of a plant and employs an autonomous robot (1) comprising a vehicle (2) movable over a rail (3) with the aid of wheels (4). It has a manipulator (5) fitted on the vehicle and movable by movement devices (6) in the horizontal surface in relation to the vehicle. Also in the robot is a picture recording system with a camera (10) movable via a guide (12) and a manipulation camera (14) at the outer end of the manipulator. The robot also has a battery (16) for current supply to its components. It also has a control system (18) connected with the picture recording system and loaded in a computer for control of the robot. A program in the computer attends to the operation of the picture recording system. The robot manipulator is equipped with a securing device (20).
