Abstract
Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) has the ambition to improve the management of projects and programmes towards impact in a complex and continuously changing environment. This report describes the main findings of the WURK project which had the objective to develop a better insight into the practical role of M&E in regional projects. The WURK project is based on setting up and carrying out M&E in four ‘pilot’ projects during the year 2008
