Risicobeheer in de land- en tuinbouw : een visie op de rol van de overheid

The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality wants to draw up a new strategic vision regarding its role in the field of risk management in agriculture and horticulture. This report de-scribes risks in primary agriculture and horticulture that form a hazard for the continuity of businesses, based on a literature study. The current role of the government (particularly the role of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality) - which is continually changing - re-garding the most important risks was then analysed. This role has also been examined from an international perspective. A group of agricultural entrepreneurs from various sectors and repre-sentatives from the insurance sector were asked how they view the current role of the govern-ment and what role they see for the government. The results of this report form building blocks for the new vision to be formulated.
