Abstract
Deze brochure telt zes voorbeelden van (verbrede) ontwikkeling van de landbouw en het platteland. Sommige thema’s zijn in de praktijk nog niet eerder vertoond in Nederland: zoals samenwerking door fusie en het buurtschapsnatuurplan. De thema’s streekproductie, zorg en recreatie staan daarentegen dichter bij de hedendaagse praktijk. De energiecoöperatie is innovatief voor De Maashorst. Aanleiding voor dit geheel: De Maashorst heeft een aanzienlijk overschot aan mest. Tweederde van de mestproductie wordt het gebied uitgevoerd. Maashorst Energie’ is een coöperatie die draait om de exploitatie van een of meerdere biomassavergistingsinstallaties. Hierbij wordt uit mest en co-vergistingsmateriaal - zoals maïs, natuurgras, bermmaaisel, gewasresten of resten uit de voedingsindustrie - elektrische stroom
