Abstract
To support policy making, this report was commissioned by the ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food quality. It summarizes the current status regarding the development and application of sensors for air quality and air emissions in livestock farming. This report deals with the availability and state of technology of sensors, possibilities to use sensors as a management tool for livestock farmers as well as for emission monitoring, existing protocols and certification schemes regarding emission monitoring, and research and development needed in the future.
