    Abstract

In 2009, Wageningen University & Research expressed its ambition to be a front-runner in sustainability within its operations. A sustainability policy was drafted, subsequently adjusted, and expanded. While significant progress has been made, current ambitions extend even further. The ultimate goal is to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieve near-zero emissions by 2050. Additionally, there is a commitment to transforming into a nature-positive university. We delve into the various routes WUR can pursue to realize these objectives. The purpose is to assess current internal CSR policies and to identify which improvements are best moving forward.
