Abstract
A new, yellow-flowering species of Begonia, B. aequatoguineensis, is being described from the Monte Alen region in Equatorial Guinea. It belongs to the section Loasibegonia and supports the idea that the Monte Alen region harbours an exceptionally high biodiversity and possibly represents a former Pleistocene rain forest refuge
