Abstract
Deadly fungal diseases threaten banana cultivation around the globe. That’s why Wageningen University & Research is developing new, sustainable cultivation methods and banana varieties. One research location is Neder Banaan’s greenhouse in Ede. Fun fact: even the banana peels and trunks will be put into full use, for example as pallets for transport, as lingerie and as vegan meat alternatives!
