Abstract
This scoping study reviews the main results from research into the ways in which entrepreneurs put engagement with nature into practice and nature conservation organisations are taking business initiatives. This information was obtained from a review of studies conducted both within and outside the Statutory Research Tasks Unit for Nature & the Environment. Future research aimed at strengthening nature-based business initiatives should focus on the monitoring and analysis of initiatives, the opportunities and obstacles to upscaling, the motives for nature-inclusive initiatives, and finding a balance between a sustainable circular economy and the conservation of nature and biodiversity
