Abstract
Dit artikel geeft een indruk van de huidige natuurbeleving, aan de hand van een onderzoek aan de Universiteit Wageningen. De vraag staat centraal: zijn de archetypische beelden van wildernis en Arcadië nog geldig? Het onbeheersbare tegenover de hang naar rust en harmonie. Schouten trekt uit dit onderzoek conclusies voor het te voeren natuurbeleid en voor natuureducatie
