Abstract

Honey bee colonies naturally selected for cohabitation with Varroa mites can be used as a resource for re-introduction of honey bees in the wild. Here we describe a project started in the Netherlands in 2019 on three locations. So far some colonies now have settled in nest boxes in the wild.
