Abstract
The Sabellaria worm is a special little creature. These worms build the tubes they live in into a sandstone reef. These natural reefs are highly important to marine biodiversity. Researcher Martin Baptist of Wageningen University & Research and his team are investigating whether the sabellaria worm can be found in the Wadden Sea. Due to their value to nature and biodiversity restoration, they hope they can reintroduce the worms here.
