Abstract

IEA Bioenergy Task 42 Biorefining in a Circular Economy and Mission Integrated Biorefineries are international collaborations with the goal to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced applications of bioresources in biorefineries that will produce sustainable bioenergy, biofuels, chemicals and materials. This paper presents the roadmap and actions of the recently founded Mission Integrated Biorefineries. Furthermore, it presents recommendations for research, industry and policy makers, based on this international collaboration.
