Metingen temperatuur tijdens diertransport: KD-2020-063

During the project KD-2020-063 Metingen diertransport en hitte (BO-43-013.01-053) feasibility of continuous temperature monitoring during transportation of livestock during different weather conditions were investigated. Additionally, temperature distribution in the vehicle at the level of the animals was assessed. In conclusion, it is possible to monitor temperature during livestock transportation continuously for a longer period of time. Temperatures in the vehicle occasionally came above or below legal requirements. Additionally, during single transports temperature differences inside the vehicle existed that were depending on animal category and location of sensor. To gain more insight into the temperature distribution and temperature control during livestock transportation the used methods can be applied in future research.
