Meer actie nodig voor heischrale graslanden: Evaluatie van het actieplan tot redding van droge heischrale graslanden

In 2018, the Action Plan to Save Dry Heathland Grasslands was published. Heathland grasslands are a critically endangered and priority habitat type (H6230). The action plan has a five-year duration. After five years, an evaluation was conducted to determine whether the action plan had achieved its intended goal. This was done through interviews with various stakeholders and an analysis of species distribution data. The conclusion was that while the action plan is clear, useful, and complete, the goal has not yet been achieved after five years. The main reason given is the lack of financial resources to actually resolve bottlenecks. Many of the actions in the action plan have been initiated, but by no means all have been completed within five years. The recommendation is to continue the action plan, improving coordination between the provinces and the national government.
