Abstract

This report presents the results and insights from a workshop, organised at the 4S/EASST 2024 conference in Amsterdam, that explored the intersections between Science and Technology Studies (STS) and Citizen Science (CS). Initiated by Christian Nold and Emma Garnett, the project has grown into a collaborative report that includes contributions from all workshop participants. The main goal was to explore how STS researchers engage in CS projects, looking at their various roles, practices, and the outcomes of their involvement with CS. This builds on a recent workshop led by Katja Mayer and Claudia Göbel (2024), which mapped the current work in STS and CS.
