Abstract

The role of flies in manure management is discussed. Fly larvae can reduce manure and related chemical and biological contaminants. The products from this process can be used for several purposes. The editorial calls for an exploration of the potential of flies in manure conversion and whether the resulting food/feed products can be safely used.
