Abstract

In the past few years, different laws have been discussed and adopted in Europe aiming to strengthen corporate accountability in the areas of human rights and environmental protection. This article provides an overview of these developments, and identifies trends and debates related to mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence, with the view to inform discussions in Latin America.
