Roze appelluis en appelgrasluis vliegen in het najaar naar de boomgaard om daar hun eieren te leggen. Een bespuiting in het najaar maakt de bestrijding in het voorjaar overbodig. Wel is van belang dat deze bespuiting tijdig wordt uitgevoerd
