Abstract

THE contents of a baby's nappy may not be the first thought to come to mind when discussing diabetes. Much less the idea that it may be nice for doctors to pass said contents down one's throat. But researchers are increasingly recognising the importance of micro-organisms such as intestinal bacteria in the development of the disease, and their capacity to reverse it.
