Abstract
This book is dedicated to Jaap Lengkeek, being appointed professor chairman from 2002 till his retirement. The book explores the relationship between people and space in everyday environments, leisure environments and tourist environments. The book consists of four parts. Part One: Experiencing nature, landscape and heritage; Part Two: Leisure practices and public space; Part Three: The state of the art of tourism research; Part Four: Landscape policies, management and design. The authors of the book are all associated with the Chairgroup Sociospatial Analysis of Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
