Integrated approach to planning and management of land: operationalization of Chapter 10 of UNCED's Agenda 21; report of the international workshop, International Agricultural Centre, Wageningen, The Netherlands, 20-22 February 1995

The workshop was focused on three main themes. The first theme was the integration of objectives, goal-setting and policy formulation for planning and management of land resources in rural areas. The second main item was how to manage a planning process for the use of land resources in rural areas with all stakeholders. Finally, the possibilities for sustainable economic development in rural areas were discussed, with emphasis on non-traditional land qualities. The report contains all the conclusionsand recommendations of the workshop.
