Insecten in twee typen bloemenmengsels op akkerranden in de IJsselvallei: Resultaat insectenmonitoring in IJssel-mengsel en ANLb-mengsel op akkerranden in de IJsselvallei

The IJssel Valley Field Margin Mixtures project investigated the extent to which different flower mixtures in field margins contribute to enhancing biodiversity. Comparisons were made between the regionally native IJssel Valley mixture (IJ mixture) and the conventional ANLb mixture, and between annual and perennial margins. In total, nearly 22,000 observations were made of at least 250 species. Due to differences in soil conditions, management practices, and experimental design, this study should be regarded as exploratory in nature. Nevertheless, the results suggest potentially more stable biodiversity with multi-year use of the IJ mixture and clearly warrant further research using a standardized experimental design.
