High Potential in the Lower Zambezi: a way forward to sustainable development

Abstract

This position paper provides an overview of the major developments in the Lower Zambezi Basin and Delta and indicates the main issues that play a role with these developments. Furthermore it suggests a way forward with actions as perceived by the delegates from the Netherlands and Mozambique on the short and mid-term and a long term vision. The position paper is intended as a starting point for long term cooperation in the basin with the ultimate aim to support organizations in sustainable development of the Basin and Delta.
