Abstract
This study explores the effect of increased organic farm land on climate, nature and animal welfare. First of all, the growth of organic acreage contributes to the reduction of GHG-emissions in the Netherlands for both the dairy and arable sector in MtonCO2-eq per year. Secondly, it contributes to strengthening nature in the Netherlands. Thirdly, it may contribute to improving animal welfare in the Netherlands. However, not enough research is done to support this statement scientifically
