Abstract
Onderzoek naar biobutanol leverde naast een methode om de veelbelovende biobrandstof te produceren ook kennis op over milde technieken waarmee suikers en andere voedingsstoffen vrijgemaakt kunnen worden uit stro en gras. Die kennis wordt nu toegepast bij de bouw van een grote proeffabriek die onder meer grondstoffen voor bioplastics gaat leveren.
