Abstract

Soil Heroes has been initiated by farmers, for farmers. The initiative is based on first-hand experiences with the transition to regenerative practices and the observation of the results (improved soil health and soil structure, increased organic matter content and soil biology, less artificial inputs and pesticides, higher resilience and mitigation against extreme weather conditions, higher (quality) yields) and driven by the need to create a large-scale change in the way the world is farming. In this report the simulation of severa lmeasures connected to regenerative agriculture is presented. This researches focusses on water availability, runoff and drainage to canals.
