Research output: Book/ReportReportProfessional

Abstract

Research into types of governance that can support the transition to a circular food system. Two types of policy arrangements have been analyzed in their first year of existence. First, the policy for experimental areas in the context of the Dutch policy for circular agriculture and, second, the North Sea Agreement. The experimental areas have quickly established a diverse range of experiments, but now face various upscaling and broadening questions, which require a vision of further development. The North Sea Agreement has been set up and signed by fishery organization, energy producers and environmental organizations. The government was partner, but not leading partner. Now, a next step is taken towards developing an implementing organization. A follow-up study will focus on the further contribution of these two types of governance to the transition of the food system.
