Evaluation finale du Projet D’Appui au Développement Agricole pour la Nutrition et l’Entrepreneuriat (PADANE): rapport final

This report presents the end evaluation of the Projet d’Appui au Développement Agricole pour la Nutrition et l’Entrepreneuriat (PADANE), implemented in Burundi between 2018 and 2025, under the coordination of SNV and with funding from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The evaluation examines the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, impact and sustainability of the project by adopting a mixed approach, combining a documentary review, a survey of 1,212 households, as well as qualitative interviews conducted in five of the seven intervention provinces : Bujumbura Rural, Bubanza, Makamba, Gitega and Muyinga. The evaluation followed a phased approach, focusing on learning and utilization of the findings by integrating several sense-making workshops with the project partners and stakeholders. These exchanges made it possible to discuss and deepen the results, to corroborate the changes experienced by the beneficiaries and the specific contribution of PADANE to these developments. Finally, the remarks and corrections made by the evaluation committee were integrated into this report in order to ensure a more in-depth and relevant analysis.
