Evaluatie van de genenbank voor inheemse bomen en struiken: Strategie, gewenste omvang en kwaliteit van de genenbank Roggebotzand

This report presents an evaluation of the size, quality and future development of the Dutch gene bank for native trees and shrubs. Strategic aspects concerning the species and accession composition as well the operational management of the gene bank concerning germplasm management, security, maintenance and documentation were evaluated. Recommendations are made how genetic material of native trees and shrubs can be efficiently and optimally conserved in the future. Alternative gene conservation strategies are recommended for a number of species.
