Abstract
This chapter discusses the environmental effects on bacterial disease development in plants; survival of the bacteria in the rhizosphere and under different environmental conditions; dissemination and transmission of he pathogen, and epidemiological cycles; and the geographical distribution of some bacterial pathogens.
