Ensuring accessibility of insect- based feed to small-scale fish farmers in Kenya and Uganda

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterProfessional

Abstract

Insect-based feed has the potential to advance the use of existing protein sources
exponentially. As with any innovative development, one of the main challenges
is to ensure its availability to low-income groups. The small-scale fish farmers in
Kenya would be highly interested, but have not yet transitioned due to low access to affordable high-quality insect-based feed.
